Peachland is where Okanagan Lake makes a bend down the valley towards Penticton. Just south of town, if there's a wind blowing..., well, that's about the best we can do with 'surfs up' in the Okanagan.
A place where myths are made. (ogopogo, haymour castle...)
The Coquihalla Highway intersects highway 97 just north of Peachland.

Peachland Museum
Located at the 8-sided church
An historic community, Peachland was established in the late 1800's. Its old Baptist Church, an unusual eight-sided building, now houses the town's museum. Peachland was established in the late 1800's by "Gus" Hewitt who ran a mining camp nearby. It was originally named Camp Hewitt but was later renamed Peachland, probably after the Lambly family who grew the first peaches in the Okanagan.
